There are less than 3 days left until decisions are released. I know these will be the longest 3 days of my life and, from what I've already seen on this forum, for many others too. Thus, I made this thread so that fellow UNC-hopefuls can post and share methods of fighting anxiety. Moreover, this thread can also be used just to vent some anger/frustration in any form you wish.

Welllll since our school board is amazingly stupid, we have our exams this week (weds-friday). So i’m supposed to be studying for those, but as you can tell by my high activity on CC, its not going very well ;).

As for good games…in my eyes, you will NEVER beat a good game of pocket tanks. We have it installed on almost every computer in our school, and we are able to play LAN games against each other from different rooms. Same setup at my house ;)

I’m procrastinating on my Math IA and as far as Wednesday is concerned, I plan to take a looooong bike ride for some icecream to keep myself from being glued to the laptop.

haha i just went to the coffee bean game that’s great. uh i have a huge test tomorrow on which i NEED an A but am clearly not studying. But i don’t think anyone here should have toooooo much anxiety (including me although it’s difficult). admissions are tough this year but unc or not, there’s a school for everyone and it will all turn out alright if you are open to it. so let’s CHILL and just think SECOND SEMESTER SENIORS SO SOON. best of luck to everyone.

oh man, my school used to have finals after winter break, but we switched two years ago. it was pretty brutal having to study/think about studying over winter break. as far as anxiety goes, i agree with hjk1221 in that we just need to calm down and let things play out as they may. it will all work out in the end.

I have a lot of schoolwork. and a swim meet.
which is maybe good that I have -some- stuff to do, because I keep looking at the time and figuring out exactly how many minutes til it comes out haha. currently, 1683.

haha, I love the game. Midterms/Finals are next week so i really should be working at that but I’ve been wasting time tutoring and running and such at the gym. I get all my frustration out on the tredmill! haha Less than 24 hours! [:

I’m debating whether or not I’m going to check my status online @ 3:00 CST on the dot. I think it will be much more exciting to open the physical letter the next day. Anyone else thinking about doing the same?

Yeah, but remember with the mail (and potential bad weather in the midwest), you may not get the letter on Thursday. We’ll get them here in NC, but you’ve got to figure in mail time! (Arg.)

And of course, Illinois will be receiving snow for the next couple of days. I don’t think I’ll be able to restrain myself from checking if I have to wait 2+ days for the letter…

I don’t know. I’d assume that they would mail the letters that travel further earlier. I mean maybe they send them all at once, but I wouldn’t be surprised if most people got them Thursday.

i am so upset that i do not live in a state like nc or va, new jersey just sucks i wish we had an amzing flagship university such as unc or uva. i need to get in

I don’t live at home, I’m in a dorm, so I’d have to wait until my mom gets home and gets the mail, and I’m definitely not doing that! So I’m checking right at 3pm CST. Also, I don’ tthink I’d be able to bear waiting more haha. I’ve already been counting down so much. Less than 20 hours guys!!

well california has good schools but they’re just as hard (if not harder) to get into, even in state! :\ ahhh these next 14 hours are going to killlllll
