[ *] Other Factors/questions: anybody know any matches for my stats if Michigan isn't? just a few so I can get an idea and look around more

I took a difficult course of classes throughout highschool so I have 9 APs done, and most likely 12 by graduation.

faultylogic, you have a very solid chance of getting in. I would say match.

faultylogic, mandolive, and viktory I would say you all have great chances with those impressive stats, but UMich admissions are very random, so you are not a guarantee even with those impressive stats.

I had a 29 ACT, about a 2010 SAT, 3.8 GPA, 5 APs, solid ECS, and was extended waitlisted this year for class of 2012 at michigan, while two students from my school with a 23 and a 24 ACT with under 1700 SAT's were offered admission, one had a 3.75 the other had a 3.9, both had NO APs, but had a little bit better ECs than I did. We all applied at relatively the same time, and I know that my essays were not terrible. I don't want to frighten you with my extreme bitterness of not being offered admission, but just wanted to prepare you for the roller coaster ride.

However, if you get better luck than I do, you should be able to get offered admission with relative ease, so work hard on those essays and put together a solid application.

Thanks, alexandre and ramen!!
