Anyone? little help por favor

supertme41... thats pretty difficult. You have a good ACT score, but your UM unweighted gpa and OOS makes it difficult. I believe you took a lot of IB classes seeing that your weighted is pretty high so I would put you as a slight reach-reach. Get that GPA up, write some amazing essays, and catch UM's attention and im sure you can earn an acceptance.

dbt124... your instate, good ACT score, and your ECs match the engineering profile that admissions wants to see. Unfortunately, that gpa is pretty low. Your classes may make up for it, but UofM does wish to see that you can handle AP work. Like supertme41, i would advise spending lots of time on your essays. Show your love for engineering and you have a chance to get in. As for now, I would put you as a slight reach.

stentorian - i would put you as a match. Great stuff for your application.
The phank - Michigan can be a safety if you wanted it to be.
sarahrachel109 - freshman year does not count in UM unweited GPA. If you have a true UM gpa of 3.4 or below, i would put you as a slight reach and if 3.5 is your real UM I would put you at a match/slight reach. You do seem to have circumstances that can bring out your application through essays (ie. your parents not going to college and drama, etc.)

To all above: write some great essays, apply early, and you'll all prob get in.

pattymac - in
mrcydrama - that gpa will probably be a problem. Your other stats are great though. Work really hard on essays and hope for the best. I would put you at a mid-reach
Crystalpinapple - in
srgirl6 - just send in your ACT, it'll be fine. You don't need to take your SAT again. With an ACT of 31 and a gpa of 3.8, i would put you as a match. If you talk about your issues in your essays and how you overcame them, your application will be definitely accepted.

Bgrenis - OOS, low gpa (avg gpa at COE is 3.9), slightly low SAT, and it seems like no crazy circumstances to overcome. I would say a reach. I think you calculated your umich gpa wrong though. umich gpa = only soph, jun, sen, years. Only main subjects such as math, english, foreign language, science (not gym or w.e). any A = 4, any B=3, any C=2, then find average.
