chance me please (:

I AM LEGEND - not too sure. Probabation, OOS, will most likely hurt though. But you definitely have a chance at transfering.

michiganfan911 - match

psp-fifa-fan - I would estimate a slight reach/reach, though if you calculated your gpa umich style (just search it up) a better "chance" can be made. Also, definitely get that ACT score up. A 28+ will offer you a stronger chance at acceptance, though being OOS it will be difficult to gain admission.

jmc2009 - ouch. Your your act is great, SAT IIs great, and your ECs are good. However, your OOS and your low unweighted gpa will hurt you the most. I would say reach.

please estimate chances for fall 2009 for 1. admission to LSA and 2. admission to LSA Honors Program and 3. merit scholarship. thx.
{} College (LSA): LSA Honors Program Hopefully!

{} 740 SAT 2 for World History

{} counselor rec will be good
{} essays are good but not great

{*} EC's are decent but not much leadership

i would rank you a match for michigan in terms of your SAT and the fact that you are coming from a competitive private school. honors is possible, but being OOS with a 3.7 will most likely not bring much merit money.

What is the difference between weighted and unweighted GPA? My school doesn't weight, and I have like a 3.9999 because I got one A-, but I heard Michigan doesn't count minuses or freshman or senior year right? So would 4.0 be right for my Michigan unweighted GPA? I'm confused.

i did some research, but still couldnt find the way to calculate umich gpa. can anyone please help me?

when in doubt, go to the umich faqs. ;) not that hard to find.
