Early Decision Notification Update

As Cornell admission selection committees approach the end of early decision application review, we want to share information with you regarding Cornell's online admission decision notification process.

Early decision applicants will be able to view their admissions decisions online on Thursday, December 9, beginning at 5:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). A few days prior to the decision release date, we will contact all early decision applicants by email with instructions for viewing your decision online. Please note that decisions will not be posted on your Cornell online application status account, so please follow the instructions that will be outlined in our email to you.

You do not need to do anything further at this time. We will post a new message on our website once we have sent the email instructions for viewing your decision online.

Spring transfer applicants: Please note that spring transfer admissions decisions will not be available online and will be mailed to you by paper letter.

The checklist below indicates materials received and processed by the Undergraduate Admissions Office and does not include materials sent to the college admissions offices or to the financial aid office.

Thanks!
By the way, in the ED 2015 thread, there’s some good news. ED applicant numbers decreased by about four percent  Higher chance for us EDers.

Thanks and that’s good news mickjagger :D

[Early Applications Decrease For First Time Since 2003 | The Cornell Daily Sun](http://www.cornellsun.com/section/news/content/2010/12/03/early-applications-decrease-first-time-2003)

yeah…good news!!!

Decisions seem to coming out around a week earlier for most schools this year! Good luck to everyone.

it’s nice to know that ED people have decreased, but at the same time, isn’t this bad for cornell? it means less people are committing themselves to cornell, which means yield rate will also decrease. i mean, it’s kind of like being happy that the sat scores for cornell decreased for the applicants. yeah, it means you have a better chance of getting in, but that means the school is suffering no? and who wants to go to a suffering school? (me?) haha

anyway, this is good news for me!

Yeah, I get what you mean Wuchu. But whatever, I really like Cornell. And I bet the decrease in applications was due to the suicides.

The decrease in ed applicants was less than 4% like 138. I think many do not apply ed because they are worried fin aid will be less
