<p>I was the only East Asian kid in a 15 mile radius when I lived in Israel. It wasn't fun.</p>
<p>there are 2 oriental asians in my school. very very opposite. one a soccer star, to be val, star actor in drama plays since 10th grade, really good on the math team, so many other beautiful accomplishments. He immigrated here when he was in 6th grade too, didn't know english. he told me after he made a B in history or something in 6th grade for a 6 weeks because of his lack of english at the time, his parents were very angry. we sympathized.</p>
<p>the other hardly know any english, works at a cafeteria after school, does wrestling, and because of his lack of english, consistently failing.</p>
<p>the first is from china, the 2nd from mongolia. </p>
<p>and then we have a couple of indi/paki kids. avg 4-5 total.</p>
<p>pretty good friends with all. i have more asian friends than white/black, in general, despite the major lack at my school. i have no asian roots in me. ;o</p>
<p>My lunch table last year: a ukrainian (me), an indonesian, an iranian, a korean, a chinese, a vietnamese, an african american, and a white american. All but last two were born outside the US. I guess that kinda says it all ;)</p>
<p>It was kinda funny actually. The Chinese eschage students were all super-duper smart. Maybe the Communist governement there only lets us see the really smart ones.</p>
<p>But the ones from south korea were smart, but really normal. They and the mexican students got along really well, and they both hated the chinese students, calling them commies and stuff like that.</p>
<p>....that's terrible. ^</p>
<p>Anyway, I like having a lot of Asian students around me. They motivate me to work.</p>
<p>as an asian, i am only sexually attracted to other asians. From that standpoint, it sucks to be the only ASIAN at my school. :(</p>

<p>yeh, i probably should have a more open mind? Just i find asians more attractive to me thats all. It really sucks being the only asian at school on many different levels. Though it is kind of cool sometimes, the bad outweights the good. Especially when I've experianced what it is like to attend a school with a large asian population and having most of my friends be asian, its hard to adapt and make close friends since most people at my school are not the most open minded people in the world and hesitant to view me as anything else beside the "asian novelty".</p>

27% Asian (oddly enough only 1 Chinese, but 4 Flips & a whopping 6 Indians)
33% White
17% Black
17% Hispanic
6% Caribbean</p>
<p>Go figure. All the white people say the Asians are taking over the school. Also, some of my white friends refuse to believe that some of the Asians are asian. Why? They get Bs and Cs. Take a guess at where I'm located.</p>
<p>nah. americans are very tolerant. i see a lot of asian guys walking around holding hands with white girls or vise versa.</p>

<p>I am so freaking jealous it's not even funny.</p>
<p>I'm the only non-Asian in my Calculus and Physics classes. I stick out really badly too because I'm extremely pale/bright white :( I don't really mind though, most are pretty nice. Competition is pretty stiff though...</p>

<p>At my school, at of the Asians seem to bond and stick to each other. There are much more Caucasians than Asians.</p>
<p>^lol, i remember this academic camp i went to, which was (surprise) probably about 60+% asian. so one day there was this HUGE group of asians only and my friend was like come over, don't be afraid of the asian mafia, they just look intimidating. so i did...it was cool.</p>

<p>I went to elementary/middle school in East LA (where it is literally 99% Mexican/Central American); it was pretty intimidating to say the least.</p>
