<p>My school is actually pretty diverse. I don't know the percentages, but we don't really have that many Asians, unless you count Indians. If you count Indians as Asian, then we have quite a few. We have a lot of blacks and hispanics, and of course caucasians. There are also many Filipinos. I dunno, I live in New York, so I guess it's pretty diverse all over.</p>
<p>I was the only asian in my school last year, but now i moved to pennsylvania. there are lots of asian in my school, well not like LOTS, but probably around 30 out of 2000???but i'm the only one from Taiwan, most of them are from indonesia, i really wish someone could speak mandarin/ taiwanese at my school !!</p>

<p>My school is preeety tiny (500 kids in all) but I'd say it is 70% asian/pacific islander (not just Japanese kiddies-- Filipino, Korean, Thai, etc.)
And weirdly enough, there is no competitive vibe whatsoever (maybe in some classes... AP classes and upper-level math classes only, though).
All in all, I think my school mostly consists of the rare breed of slackaa asians who hate math! <em>gasp!</em> Of course, there are some exceptions...</p>

<p>i go to a school with LOTS of asians. i'd say we are 40-45% asian. it seems like more though. people joke around and say that we are 99% asian. haha </p>
<p>however, when you go to the higher level classes, there is usually only one or two people in the class who aren't asian.</p>

but they are not "typical" Asians.. as in the typical impression of Asians here in the States-ya know? Like they aren't "smart-ass" nor "geeky" nor anything... in fact most of them have parents who work in fast-food resturants as a career and they smoke..
Only like 3 people are "smart" in my school. and i guess yo u can say i'm one of them =P</p>

<p>One of my best friends (interestingly the current valedictorian) is asian. There MIGHT be 1 other but he pretends to be ghetto so does he count? O wait...an emo asian too. My school is the whitest public in MA I think? 96.4% white? (My history cited the # mult. times and so it became a joke. This friend of mine joked about making a 3.6% club. Then realized who else would join...)</p>

<p>God, why does it matter if there are Asians in your school or not lol??? I think having a diverse set of minds is more important than having a diverse set of races.</p>
