Okay, I completely stole this from a Boston College thread - (he admitted taking it from somewhere else!) But here goes...

It really is helpful for prospective students to see the decisions that will begin to roll in. It really does help, so please post. Hopefully, someone will start a similar thread for IS applicants, so people can really see the difference in stats between OOS and IS accepted applicants.

Good Luck to everyone

Copy and paste the following into the reply. Then fill in the answers. First decision, then SAT scores, etc.
Remove the spaces inside the brackets to make it work...

Let's make it a little more easier to read by making ACCEPTED green, REJECTED red, and WAITLIST yellow. Do this by by putting Red, Yellow, or Green in where the word "Red" is right now in the first line.

DECISION:

Reflection
Strengths: 36 on ACT, very passionate about my ECs, essays were great - my CA essay was about an activity that probably made me stand out. Not a sport or anything that could sway my decision or bring attention to the university, but it was funny and probably made me memorable because I doubt many teenagers do it.
Weaknesses:
Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: Strong academic base for my application with great essays on top.

General Comments: Not sure if I’ll attend yet, but it’s a strong candidate! Work on your essays, especially your school-specific ones! I was deferred from other top schools EA and I’m sure it was because I wrote their essays at the last minute and they were terrible. And be honest! Mine were straightforward, not really about anything tremendously unique or that had a twist/hook at the beginning or end, but I think they represented me very well even though they were plain; I was actually afraid my essay about animal rescue was cliche and that it didn’t communicate why it means so much to me very well, but I guess it did. And finally, congratulations to everyone else who was admitted! :)
