The Options for the Deferred

Ok, I was thinking...I was deferred, and since I'm a non-legacy, non-recruit, white male, perhaps might be better for me. I've heard that a lot of the legacies and recruits get accepted ED (there were 100 legacies in ED...average of about 150/class). Add to that the fact that they know Princeton is my number 1 choice, and perhaps my chances go up? Any thoughts...

Anyway, what kind of things are you all sending to Princeton now that you are deferred? Are you all sending any supplementary work, etc.?

What you, and ALL THE DEFERRED PEOPLE, need to do is write a letter to the Princeton admissions office stating that Princeton University is still your first choice and that you are excited about attending should the opportunity be presented to you.

Thanks bluedevil!

I think it's very hard to say...The RD applicant has way more people and is not much "less" in quality than ED applicants.

i heard that deferees are admitted at about a 14% rate, which is higher than the RD pool, bc they look favorably upon the fact that you apped ED, and thus are enthusiastic about pton

Yeah and I recommend for all deferrees to not worry.
If you feel the need, you can send something in.
But just relax about Princeton because your app is already submitted and doen with, and just concentrate on your other RD apps.
