The "other" notebooks

This might sound strange, and everyone I know says this is so, but here's the deal. I hate those Mead notebooks that virtually everyone uses. I prefer to use loose unlined paper and I've noticed my grades are significantly better when I don't use lined paper and have no real means of organizing it outside of sticking it in my textbook. I also write abnormally large--like larger than the lined paper we had in third grade. Nobody can quite figure this out.

Even in math, I prefer not to have lined paper to work on. I'll use graph paper if I need to, but usually I only get four cartesian planes on each sheet of paper.

Any ideas?

Not sure what you're asking.

They make composition notebooks with unlined paper, if that's what you want...

Yeah, I use three-ring binders that I find much more useful. Old habits die hard. :) I hate the Mead notebooks.

I use engineering paper (ampad), but that has lines.

work on writing smaller, seriously. how do you fill in forms with gargantuan writing?

I prefer blank, colored paper. I find that canary paper with very fine blue pen is very easy on the eyes.

Oh how I love these threads...
Seriously grab a piece of paper and a pen and write. Do we really need to have a discussion on what is best to use?!?

Nonono. Pencils (#2, of course) are far superior to pens. :D

actually colored pencils are even better.

better than colored pencils?

crayons...............lol

Oh dear here we go again :-D

Writing in blood is also an option..

gasp
I forgot to mention something very important! If you write on unlined paper with a #2 pencil, it MUST be a yellow pencil.

dude,
pens rule!
especially those bic colorful pens that come in four packs with bright blue, green, pink, and purple!
erasable blue pens are awesome too
and I love the five star college ruled 5 subject notebooks... really helps short, weak people like me who can't carry five binders for five diff. subjects. They now make them in pretty colors such as pink and baby blue =)

Mmmm...I like permanent markers.

You need to get serious.

All the hard core debaters use G2 pens and Sharpie Accent Highlighters. It's all about the brand name, the image.

Well the idea of having "Sharpie" might seem a little too juvenile to some. I mean, look at the spelling of the brand.

http://www.sharpie.com/sanford/consumer/sharpie/productcatalog/accentHighlighter.jhtml

Juvenile?

More like intense. Grip for extreme highlighting.

Ah, but then you have the choice of the different styles. Which one??? :p

Like I said, GRIP is the only way to go.

Oh, I see. They come in five colors. How convenient- I have 5 classes! :p

I use them to delineate different functions in the notes.

i.e. pink for vocabulary, yellow for headings, blue subheadings, etc.
