I have to read The Overachievers by Alexandra Robbins for my AP English class, and I was wondering...

Does anybody see themselves as being as ridiculously stressed in HS as these kids were???

the first chapter: Alexandra Robbins

I loved reading the Overachievers. I think I read it 3, maybe 4 times before high school even started.

Because I read it before high school, I knew I didn’t want to be like those kids. I knew I would end up at a great school, regardless of my stress levels.

It’s a great read, I highly recommend it.

I found Taylor’s story interesting.

I find myself relating to CC’s story because there are points where I can if I get an A, and times where I care if I get an A+.

i have a friend who goes to walt whitman and he says that the author depicts the school with around 15% accuracy haha

Who is the stealth overachiever?

I read the book before it was assigned…

I’d actually never heard about it until my teacher gave us the options list for our second book. The first is ‘the Things They Carried’.

From reading only the first chapter or so of ‘the Overachievers’, I think I’m definitely going to be like CJ, maybe even Julie.

This book makes me a little more nervous about applying to college haha
