<p>Someone on this forum a while back posted about this book and I just finished it. It is truly an amazing book and great insight into overachievers. </p>
<p>Does anyone think that this book would actually be a good mandatory reading for AP English classes?</p>

I read it like a gajillion times.</p>
<p>It’s a good book for any high school English class- I would probably make it mandatory summer reading for incoming Freshman, but that’s just me.</p>
<p>Once you read that, read Cal Newport’s How to be a High School Superstar.
I read that several times also, and it’s a great book.</p>
<p>I read a preview of that book earlier this summer on Amazon. And will defiantly read that book when I get my hands on it. I think it should be recommend but not mandatory, for that class.</p>
<p>It IS a mandatory book for us. Its our summer reading for AP Lang and Comp.</p>
