<p>Happy for you TomisMom…as you know we went through a similar debate and of course at his school kids were saying OMG you’re turning down Brown and Hopkins??</p>
<p>The truth about Hopkins is the adcom spent 1/3rd of the time refuting its cut throat image. The man doth protest too much? S liked Hopkins, but felt it was far less friendly than Brown or Pitt or Chapel Hill. Pitt students gave off an aura of confidence but being able to work cohesively, mesh etc --even in the pre-med areas. And for whatever reason the entire family noted that minority students seemed to be much more fully integrated into the life of the school. Hopkins seemed more stratified and tense to us.</p>
