<p>they were basically for agriculture against the economic structure...?</p>
<p>they were for the farmers and wanted money to be backed up by both gold and silver instead of just gold. they also wanted a few other things like income tax, 8hour work day and crap…not too sure lol</p>
<p>who was dems? william bryan was a populist and ran for president and when he lost the party basically just ended</p>
<p>yeah they wanted silver to increase the money in circulation or something
but were they part of a labor movement?</p>

<p>^ bryan’s cross of gold speech basically said that having money backed up by gold+silver would help the farmers to pay off their debts and would thrive the economy</p>
