Activities pretty focused on art, photography, community service and dancing. 2 strong leadership positions. Have been told that my essay is really good. I think I had a really good interview as well. Supplementary material – pictures of my oil paintings.

Excellent recs from Eng Teacher, Law Teacher, and Prof at University of Toronto (I work for him as a research assistant), all of whom have known me for around 3 yrs. Interview went well-- she said "Columbia would be lucky to have you"-- hopefully this counts for something. Essay on life-altering car accident in ninth grade. Bad ECs :( because I have had to work 20+/wk (Library and University of Toronto) for the past 3 yrs to help support my family: Environmental Club Executive (member for 3 yrs); Tutor (within school and as volunteer); School Newspaper Co-Founder, Co-editor. Wored throughout all summers and attended one session at the Columbia SHSP. Asian Canadian student, although I have lived in Beijing, NYC and Toronto (I dunno if this will help).
AngelNikki1- 1510 (750M, 760V) SAT II-750US/760Wr/620Spanish ... Decent ECs: President of a service organization, write for a newspaper (circulation 70,000, sent a sample article), NHS, SHH, Dance, 200 or so hours of volunteer work, held down a job for 2 years. I think my recommendations are good, rank 27/540 in my class, 4.0 GPA, my essay may have been risky but I loved it...I think the only thing I might be lacking on is leadership. What may really hurt me is that I'm from the suburbs of Philly so there's a lot of really qualified applicants!!

ok so who starts predicting?

we'll give freakish the honors

ooooh, should I?
lol, I was about to watch Hope and Faith haha

no u start.. hurry..

I truthfully dont think anyone will be outright rejected. I know there probably will be, but I' cant choose that accurately at all. I'm sure, Im wrong, but I thought about these,a lot of it is assessment combined with my intuition.

what is that supposed to mean freakish.. i'd rather you be honest than just "not wanting to kill me"..

you really think i'll be a?

and can you tell us how you came to these conclusions.. what you based your judgements on etc..

lol---------this is a predictions post....Why don't we analyze after we al lput our lists. one, i put the thing about I don't want to kill her because you're so passioned, but I was at first thinking oh, im not sure, but then the IB program is a plus, and i assume those numbers mean you did really good, and u said u had a passion in those ifelds, so i gave you an A. At first, I was thinking cusp, thats why I put it.

yeh..how did u choose the Ds?

o 4get it..i just read ur post freakish

Honestly, I think most people on this list have a higher-than-average chance. At the very least, I don't think the majority of people applying have scores this high...(at least I hope not...)

start your predictions guys...and then we can talk about them more in depth.
