the questing beast

This seems to be the sort of place to ask these questions:

what I'm looking for:
a college with strong programs in: CS, creative writing, and linguistics
that allows tripple majors
and is fairly small (at least under 10,000)
and has rigorous academics

i have suddenly become unsure about the college I have found so far, and/or hope to find more good colleges

what I have found so far:
Brandeis, Brown, CMU, grinnell, haverford, pomona/harvey mudd/CMC/pitzer, reed, rice, Stanford, Tufts, Yale...

thanks all!!

um...drop the triple major idea.

youre insane if you want to spend every waking moment studying and taking classes

why is that insane?
it sounds kind of fun
as long as I get to pick the classes...

I think Brown sounds like a pretty good fit based on the info you gave

I think CS, Ling., and creative writing will be a hard trip. major since the courses wont overlap too much....but Brown does sound good due to its "core"

most people double major because they have classes that overlap and fulfill both requirements...to attempt to triple in three unrelated majors is suicide.

that being said, brown would be best because of its open curriculum.

Hey, I'm planning to double major in CS and linguistics. (They do overlap, somewhat, I promise!)

If you can get into Brown, go for it. It's just great! ;)

(Sorry, I have no real info to add, but thought I'd post since I'm into CS and ling too...)

that's really exciting! Where did you end up applying / where are you planning on going?
