stupid spanish class wrecked my gpa. Damn you SPANISH!! :P

did you sign up to retake spanish?

No I don't have the time with my work schedule. I actually had a really bad personal situation that caused me too lose my crap that semester. That F is the only remaining scar though.

If you retake the class within a certain time, I believe you could rectify your GPA.

You look like you may have a solid chance, given the fact that you mentioned that part in your essay.

If I wrote them and told them I was taking it during summer do you think they would still consider the higher gpa?? Then I would go back to a 3.9something.

Yea, I spoke to my transfer director about that. She said that if it's a small case (1 to 2 classes) UCs tend to ignore those classes' and give you the benefit of a doubt based on previous performance. Granted you tell them about it, as you mentioned. (This Transfer Director has been known to send people to TOP UCs with less than stellar grades.)

I see no reason as to why they wouldn't see it as a 3.9 GPA

I think we both have a good chance at UCB and UCLA.

Man, I hope so. That Cal housing thread is giving me never-ending nightmares..

Cool I will have to see if my school even offers Spanish 2 in the summer.

It seems like you all have very good chance for UCLA. I, on the other hand, have a measly 3.46. Current GPA is actually 3.53, but was not able to update winter grades. Anyways, I apply as history.

Just curious, but why weren't you allowed to update your winter grade?

T. Huan: admit rate was 70% for history last year at UCLA. I think you have a good shot.

I was able to update, but UCLA had the early deadline. I think it was January 31? My winter classes wasn't over till February.

Yea I don't understand that. It's impacted, but they accept 70%.

lol

It sickens me how some of you people list your ethnicity. Just saying.
