So a public library I live by has The Real ACT Prep Guide (I’m assuming the red book right?) but it’s publication is all the way back from 2005.
Is it worth checking out the book or is it too old that it the structure/question difficulty wont be the same anymore? I plan on taking the ACT on Sept 12th and so far the books I have right now are:
Barron’s ACT 36 (2009)
Princeton Review: English and Reading workout (2013)
Grumber’s Complete ACT guide (2011)
Apart from maybe checking out the red book, are these books good preparation for the ACT or are they a bit on the easy side? Thank you
The 2005 ACT book has three practice tests and all of these three practice tests are repeated in the current Red book(the Official ACT guide) which has a total of five tests. My advice is to just get the current ACT book.
@SATQuantum So check out the 2005 book available at my library or buy a recent one that’s on Amazon?
@sweetcharge Buy the recent one from Amazon: [The Real ACT 3rd Edition](http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0768934400/atc06202-20), or a used one if you would like to save money.
I would say all the old editions of the real act seem easier than recent exams. But it is still very similar so it wouldnt hurt.
