The website says January 1, as you all know. But does this mean BY January 1, or ON January 1. Meaning, do I have to send the application sometime tomorrow?

Assume that I can't send it tomorrow for some reason.

Hrm - I always thought that deadlines meant that it can be turned in at 11:59 on Jan 1st. The UC system worked that way..

I'm basically screwed if it is due on sometime tomorrow for some reason. I managed to somehow not see the Northwestern essay; I assumed that it would be a generic, common app type question. Assumptions have not been going very well for me lately.

Anyone else know the answer for sure?

sorry schoolisnotforfools...maybe you should learn something from this...i've had similar experiences everybody does...but do you by any chance know the derviations of the word assume?

Haha...yes I have heard it many times. I'm pretty dumb, though; by my estimate I'll finally learn from my mistakes when I'm 87.

"deadline to submit an application is Sunday, January 1, 2006. The online application web site will be live throughout the day on January 1"
i copied this from the e-mail Nw has sent me
Don't worry too much i think you have time on sunday stilll
besides this experience would make a good essay itself for the mistake option ;P

WOOHOO!!!! I guess the luck of the Irish is with me tonight. I've had two adventures, and came out of both unscathed. Excuse me while I pass out from exhaustion.

um can u just make sure and call the office? please i want to be 100 and 1% sure
