awww im sorry! eat some chocolate and thing about other things :)

blahhhh its a terrible feeling to get rejected...somewhat surreal IMO but life goes on. We still got many colleges to hear from guys, don't give up

Does a rejection from LA equal to a rejection from Berkeley in the coming days?

NO! Alot of my HS friends didn't get into UCLA but got into Cal. Good Luck!

Cheer up, people. My D was rejected by UCLA, did two years of community college and took everything the counselor told her to take to transfer to UCLA. She entered UCLA as a junior and had two outstanding years there, went on to grad school. Don't lose heart!

going to CC first is embarassing even if u transfer out to UCLA (this is excluding financial needs)

People who go to CC first can hold their heads up high, leaving all the high school cliques and snobs behind, knowing they are aiming for their goal. There are plenty of smart kids and good teachers at CCs. Years later, you can say "I graduated from UCLA". And probably with a lot less debt.

a lot of kids go to CC out of high school for reasons other than financial and it's an immature and childish remark to say it's "embarrassing." getting a reject from UCLA is not the end of the world! i am figuring that about 36000+ of the 47000 applicants didn't get in. congratulations to those that did, and life goes on to those that didn't.
