I'm kind of sick of people starting a new thread every 5 milliseconds about review books...so why doesn't everyone just review all the review books they've read right here, so people can just use it as a sort of disorganzied database...here's an example

Subject: U.S. History
Test: SATII/AP
Book: Sparknote's SATII U.S. History
Grade: A
Explanation: I read the detailed yet concise summary of the material covered for the SATII as my only source of knowledge (instead of a textbook) for the APUSH exam and received a 5. Almost every single question on it was covered in the 100 page or so outline. However, I have yet to take the SATII, so I'm not sure how accurate the practice tests are, but anyone looking for a good summary of U.S. History...this one is GREAT!

Subject: U.S. History
Test: AP
Book: Barron's U.S. History
Grade: C
Explanation: This book does not cover very much material at all, rather only has a few terms listed in the back, with no explanation. However, if you're looking for obscure little factoids to mention in your essays, this is pretty good. The MC questions were easier than on the APUSH exam but the essays were WAY HARDER. It gave one DBQ that was absolutely, positively the most obsurd topic I have ever seen.

I'll do some more later, but everyone, feel free to leave your own.

Subject: U.S. History
Test: AP/SAT
Book: Don't Know Much About History (not a typical review book)
Grade: A
Explanation: This is a great book to refresh your memory on US History. It is easy to read and easy to understand. I would highly recommend it even if you are not taking the AP or SAT test for US History.

Subject: Psychology
Test: AP
Book: Barron's Psychology
Grade: B+
Explanantion: This is a pretty good book for psychology. It hits all the main points that you will need. But keep your textbook near just in case because the explanations are not very elaborate (and it shouldn't be anyway).

Subject: Math 2c
Test: SAT
Book: Kaplan
Grade: C
Explanation: This book does not adequately prepare you for the Math IIc. And it is a combination of Math I and II together so it doesn't have a good focus on the stuff you need to know for the 2c.

Test: SAT Math IIc
Book: Barrons
Grade: B
Explanation: A lot of people don't like this book because it is too hard but I found it very helpful in keeping math skills sharp. And it is definitely a good keep for future use when you need to look up some random equations that you didn't memorized. It also puts you at ease during the actual test because it is not as hard. But remember, the practice tests are NOT a good representation of the Math IIc.

Test: SAT I Reasoning
Book: Princeton Review 11 Practice Tests
Grade: A
Explanation: Use this book after you finish the collegeboard blue book. It doesn't have the useless drills and the questions are fairly accurate in comparison to the actual test.

Test: SAT I Reasoning Critical Reading
Book: KAPLAN Critical Reading Workbook
Grade: B-
Explanation: The word list is useless since the fall of the Verbal sections, but the prefix list is a nice way to boost your score from 0-30 points depending on what's on your SAT and how much you already know. The reading comps are good practice if you don't want to waste your precious Blue Book, but are easier than the actual test. I like using them to practice timing.

Subject: Biology
Test: SAT II
Book: Kaplan
Grade: A+
Explanation: Pretty much everything you need. Undoubtedly the best one out there. Memorize everything!

Subject: Biology
Test: SAT II
Book: Barron's
Grade: C+
Explanation: Extraneous information. Without all the excess (diseases, Earth Day, etc), it's much less comprehensive than Kaplan.

Subject: Biology
Test: SAT II
Book: Princeton Review
Grade: B+
Explanation: Solid review. All relevant. Not enough for an 800, though.

Subject: Biology
Test: SAT II
Book: Sparknotes
Grade: B+
Explanation: Same as PR.

Subject: Biology
Test: SAT II
Book: REA
Grade: F
Explanation: The worst book ever.

Subject: Biology
Test: AP
Book: Kaplan
Grade: B+
Explanation: Good enough. Not excellent. Probably enough to get a 5, but everyone (EVERYONE!) says CliffsAP is the best resource ever. I wouldn't hold this book with such high esteem.

Subject: Environmental Science
Test: AP
Book: Barron's
Grade: F
Explanation: Horrible! Irrelevant!

Subject: Computer Science AB
Test: AP
Book: Barron's
Grade: B
Explanation: Comprehensive, but verbose.

Test: ACT
Book: Kaplan
Grade: A
Explanation: Good pointers and review. I felt prepared, and even laughed at ACT's attempts to trick me on test day. I went in and out very confident.

Subject: Chemistry
Test: SAT II
Book: Barron's
Grade: B
Explanation: Has everything you could ever need to know for the test. But it's super boring. If you are dedicated and read through this book cover to cover, I have no doubt you'll ace the test, however.

Subject: French
Test: SAT II
Book: Barrons
Grade: C
Explanation: Too much emphasis on vocabulary, and the rules are presented in a manner that they are not explained. Often the answer explanations point you to a page with irrelevent information. I couldn't find the listening section answers either. Also very very boring.

Subject: Literature
Test: SAT II
Book: Kaplans
Grade: A-
Explanation: Very short review of Literature section. Mostly full of practice tests with good questions. In the end, you just have to practice and prepare, but I think the review could have been a tad more expansive.
