The rumor about only one student getting into notre dame from each school...

It's not true, and me and whsswim are evidence! Congrats whsswim! : )

(me and her have both been texting eachother all weekend, and we finally received the good news today)

Not true, my daughter is one of two from her school to make it. Only three applied.

Congratulations! We had 3 out of 4 in my hs class make it, so there isn't much truth to this rumor.

My daughter had two of three make it in from her school, a big public school in Chicago suburbs.

Last year three kids from my son's school were accepted and two are now ND freshmen. Someone specifically asked about this at one of our visits and admissions said they never limit the number of students from any one particular school. No quotas!

That's definitely not true of my school- we sent around 15 students last year, and there were probably a few accepted who decided not to attend. But then again it could also be an anomaly, as it is Catholic all-boys and we send A LOT of apps there each year.

lol i kept telling him it was all in his head :-P

From a private school in the suburbs of Chicago... we got 8 accepted and 3 deferred. They definitely weren't only talking one, lol :)

well.... my school has about 15-20 students that apply everyyear....... and at most they have accepted 3...........

I entered the ND class of '10 with nine other high school classmates. If you go to a school renown for sending good students there then there is absolutely no reason they would hang a quota on any institution.

6 EA already form my school

2 from our school

6 EA already form my school....

wow thats amazing... how many apps

we only had one ...im pretty sure...

pretty sure i'm the only one from my school who applied...

Fjoekjui - what school do you attend that has already accepted 6 early action? that is amazing...

6EA accepted out of 8 EA, one rejected, one deferred
