same.......

nobody will ever understand how i feel........

yeah, but won't you feel a lot better if you tell someone how you feel and get those sad feelings out of your system? like i said, im always here to talk....

Yeah, you can always talk to me too if you want.

i love you anisha...i know your trying to help....its that i am a person who always keep my sadness to myself.....i just cant tell someone about it

well, if you can't tell anyone, write it down. or run it out. but please don't think about dangerous thoughts like suicide or self-harm. we really care about you.

Maybe you should go on a run or something. The endorphins might make you feel better...

It always does work to talk things out. I know it's hard to do that, but sometimes it's just great to have someone to talk to. You just don't realize it until you try it.

here i posted it up

Took me forever to read the last three pages. BM1, don't feel bad. You will end up at a wonderful place. There is more to life than just colleges.

I feel the same way.

^^ thanks kchen gtg.....gnite....probably going to be tossinga and turning and thinking about my future but my dad will start to get mad if i dont go to bed now...its 1am

Goodnight. Don't think too hard about it.

BM1, I was about to give you all of this advice, but the people that responded already gave you soo many good options . . I was going to bring up the story of andison, but looks like NSM already brought it up . . you can make this into a positive thing, I'm sure, and listen, you may think that's an awful sat score, but really, it's even better than avg. I mean, that's exactly what a girl in my school got, but she's probably way more better known than the studious nerds who apply to HYPS and still get rejected. She's the captain of the varsity soccer team, capt of the varsity girls bball team, on top of all of that, VAledictorian .. and her sat score was the same as yours, so I mean, the sats are really just such a small portion of the whole picture, not everyone is really good at test taking. And I really think if you don't give up, you can get into some really good places, and I'm completely serious, I'm not just saying this to make you feel better. My parents are almost exactly like yours, remember how I told you that in the PM, but they WILL understand, I mean, you just have to do your best.

Make yourself a backup plan, you dont have to go to college immediately, but I really think you'll hear good news in the next few days (its a gut feeling here ;)) and even if you don't, you can still make the best of it. A lot of kids who even get accepted into those top colleges with amazing sat's still take gap years to go work or do something else productful. Please don't give up.

Watch Wedding Crashers if you really need a pick-me-up, it's a hilarious movie :)

And the tardy bell is going to ring in T-50 seconds so I'll ttyl pal

Aww...cheer up BM1. I agree with kchen, there's more to life than colleges.

BM1, if you dont get where you want, a gap year is the way! I got shi tt y SATs last year, retook them this year with a 1450, 760/750/730 and took a shot at the colleges.

A gap year really helps sort things out. You are out of the school ratrace so that whole ridiculous college pressure isnt there from one major side. The only one side you gotta deal with it is from you parents, and that one little thing really shouldnt be a problem. You get time to think about what exactly you want to do with your life.

We are all young and we got plenty of time. There's always a way out of such issues, so take it easy and you'll make it far.

if i take a year off.....i will end up in mental hospital......THEY WILL DRIVE ME INSANSE AT A RATE OF INCREASE OF EXPOTENTIALLY

okay..then why dont you do a study abroad program for a year? Or you can work and support yourself in organised programs overseas?

yeah, something CAN work. You can get out of the house for a while...

i hope something can work out................

When do your decisions come out BM1?

well nyu is coming out april 1st and UCB is coming on the march 30th

Ooh, so we're getting them at the same time. :) We should get on this thread and talk before 5 pm rolls around.
