The SAT 3+ Phenomena

Is it true that after taking the SAT more than 3 times, colleges start averaging scores even if they state they take the highest from each section? If so, what colleges do this?

No, that isn't true at all.

It's not true, but for the most part taking the SAT 4+ times will not look good

It is true at many schools. At some they will still just look at the highest, often with a notation. At others, rather than the secretary sending the highest scores to the adcom, they send them all.

I'm speaking in terms of the ivies and stanford. I know penn takes the highest but what about the other schools?
