I got this thing in the mail saying that midd accepts either the ACT, SAT or 3 SAT II's by themselves. did i read this correctly? can you just submit SAT II scores as long as they are all in different fields? and if so, have people done it with some success? my SAT/ACT isn't super stellar, but I have good scores on SAT II/AP exams

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I think that if you send any college your SAT score report they get ALL of your scores (both SATI and II) and there's no way to avoid this. I just sent them everything- my SAT and AP score reports. I'm pretty sure Midd only looks at the top 3 scores though...

Midd is an SAT 1 optional school

Yep, Middlebury accepts SAT I, ACT or 3 SAT IIs, whatever you choose to be your main test scores.

Midd is also a an SAT 2 optional school. But, you have to submit standardized test scores in 3 areas. That can be fufilled by the New SAT, or a mix of APs and SAT 2s.

i also got the impression that you might not have to have the ACT with writing....this would be a huge advantage for me b/c i got a higher score in state testing where writing wasn't offered. anybody know on this one?

so if my 3 SAT scores/ 2 AP Scores were

710 Bio-M
780 US History
760 Spanish
5 AP US Govnt and Politics
4 AP US History

whereas my SAT reasoning scores were

700 cr
690 math
700 writing

then I would have a better chance submitting my SAT/AP scores than with my SAT scores?

Well, as other people said, when you send your SATII scores you automatically send your SATI score. I really don't think your SATI score is bad, and Middleburry will probably just pay attention to the top three anyway. Just send a collegeboard SAT score report (it'll include SATI and II) and your AP scores. I think the scores look great.
