The SAT Vocab

I looked through a list of 100 top SAT vocab words online (JustColleges - SAT - The Top 100 Vocab Words) and memorized them, along with the first page of PR Hit parade. Based on this, is this a solid foundation for scoring high on the vocab portion of the SAT? Is this enough vocab or should I memorize more?

Read through Direct Hits.

(I swear that this question has been posed hundreds of times on this forum. :))

Direct Hits.

100 vocab words isn’t enough. I guarantee only 5 of those will be on the SAT, if that, you can use them in your essay though. Lol.

Just read Direct Hits; it’s recommended by the majority of CC so you can’t go wrong there.

The only way to do well on the SAT vocab sections is to already have a large vocabulary. Obsessively studying hit parades will only marginally increase your chances of doing well.

If the SAT were tomorrow, you would be right.

I have looked through Direct Hits, but I know a lot of the vocab already. The SAT is next Saturday, and I am successfully memorizing 15+ words a day. Is there any small list of important words that I don’t know? the Hit Parade is pretty solid, but it’s extensive (a little mentally overwhelming)

Next Saturday? Go do something else.
