The Scholar

I was wondering if there was anyone else who was getting a little bit tired of Dave. I think he has many positive attributes but he spoils them all with his bad attitude. Alyssa called it right tonight (OK maybe she didn’t need to say it like THAT) he is definitely bitter about SOMETHING. Did anyone notice that he did not even clap for Liz after her film was showed? Or, how about the fact that while she graciously acknowledged his role in helping her, he did not even congratulate her, and worse still, basically said (and I am paraphrasing) that she should not have won because the only reason she got there was because of him. That reflects poorly on him. He chooses to waste his energy on complaining about not winning, instead of thinking about ways to win the next competition and congratulating himself on a job well done w/ regards to tutoring Liz. All of that made me feel like I had to agree with Alyssa when she said that she wants anybody but Dave to win at this next competition.

i think nobody watches that show.

Don't worry swbutterfly1 I watched the show tonight, and I agree that Davis is too pompous and needs to understand that there are reasons that he is not in the final 5. It's said when even the admissions council say that he is lucky that he won the challenge because they would have never picked him.

Davis and Alyssa both need to watch their attitudes. I was surprised to see that Davis is apparently a Democrat, though.

I saw the show for the first time tonight. It seems kind of lame.

If the films were only 2 mins. long, couldn't they have shown the entire thing rather than just excerpts? Liz's film looked much better to me.

LAME is right, i thought those kids are geniuses! but they are a "normal" CCers
lol
but still better than I lol

I got sick of that show so fast....... everybody please its just so DUMB

Stupid challenges that have nothing to do with academic merit.....

tens of thousands of dollars on the line with

answering middle school level questions on various subjects as the key to victory

Ya, I couldn't believe how easy those questions were for that showdown. I wish I could answer a couple of basic questions and get $50,000.

The questions were from what my 8th grader studied this year. And one thing I am surpised with, are all the kids over 18? They are living in a coed house, and I could care less, I am suprised they would think i was such a good idea.
