The Scholarship Application Due on Dec.1

<p>I am aware that the deadline for potential scholarship consideration is December 1st for UT at Austin...but I want to know how worth it is it to turn in my essays and scholarship section before December. I have already submitted my admissions app and will be submitting my essays later.</p>

<p>I have heard that scholarships are extremely difficult to obtain and I know financial aid is a different system and requires a seperate application. So would it be smart just to apply to financial aid rather than trying for the scholarships that i may not recieve? </p>

<p>Or....im justwrong....and that scholarship app is considered as financial aid and it will actually increase my chance of getting money if i turn in the apps before dec. 1?</p>

If your family makes more than $80k you just get loans.</p>

<p>You should apply for scholarships. Every little bit counts, even though very few kids get money and those that do tend to get small amounts. You never know, you could end up with a nice full ride.</p>
