The Science Thread for ACT December 2009

I don’t remember lol

And the student W question

People are saying the letter choice was C? Are you sure it wasn’t A?

I put move the subjects to random tents. Mosquitoes went to sting the subjects, and it was asking if tents had anything to do with their preference. Moving subjects to different tents would make sure the mosquitoes actually attracted a subject rather than a tent.

i really don’t remember things like that lol but i think it was asking which out of all experiments had the most inertia or something? am i right?

@vault - i agree with you that it wasnt random tents, do you remember what the other choices were and what the wording of the question was?

@ mabs - the correct answer was student W

i still dont know what the last question was, nor do i remember what letter choice i put

so yes student W was choice A

i know there was an answer about inertia and a solid sphere

is that the same answer as the student W one?

@ mabs - yea it was choice A, solid sphere… but no, they were two separate questions

any thoughts on the mosquito control question? i, like you, think i made around 35-36 on math reading and english, but im worried about science

and the third or fourth to last questino on the last page, where there was string A and string B and it asked which had greater inertia… common sense says A, but the passage said B i believe

There was one question that was for sure the one that was CH4, because that was the only Hydrocarbon of the choices. I think it was choice A.

By the way, the ONLY question in science that confused me was the re-graphing one. What was it supposed to look like? >_>

for some reason i think the solid sphere was letter C. one of the spheres had less area. in the picture of it there was a smaller circle in it with dotted lines. I, for some reason, believe that that test had the highest inertia. But then again, the science section kicks my butt every time

for the last time people. the last question of the test was choice A!!!
