The Secret "Fast Pass" Meal Plans

If you are eligible for Cardinal or Gold Meal Plans, check out the "FAST PASS" meal plan options at <a href="https://busweb.usc.edu/web/uscard/students/meal_plans_01choice.asp%5B/url%5D">https://busweb.usc.edu/web/uscard/students/meal_plans_01choice.asp</a>
You can change your Meal Plan until August 31.

Even without the extra $510 dining dollars, Fast Pass sounds like a WAY better deal than the regular plans! At least for big eaters....it is UNLIMITED meals and snacks! Even though you are locked into the same cafeterias all the time, at least you can eat whenever you want! They say they do not recommend Fast Pass, ha, probably because they will lose money on it! It is like a big secret, and was not even included as an option on our original Housing Contracts, what is up with that???

Here are 4 different meal plans...check it out....

1.) CARDINAL PLAN:

-Also includes $510 dining dollars per semester to be used at almost any Hospitality facility. Unused dining dollars do not carry forward to next semester.

2.) CARDINAL PLAN “FAST PASS” VALUE ENHANCEMENT OPTION:

I don't see this line anywhere on their website! Can you please tell us where you got that line?

This what you say for the GOLD "FAST PASS" plan, but on the website, dinner is Parkside only regardless of which option.

Alright, I found the real page that has all the information that Premier13 posted. It's all on <a href="http://hospitality.usc.edu/residential/index.html%5B/url%5D">http://hospitality.usc.edu/residential/index.html</a>.</p>

But my question still stands on how much additional does it cost to upgrade to the "FAST PLAN"?

i believe it takes all your dining dollars, for example- if you are on the cardinal plan u won't have the 510 dollars per semester

It is the same price as Cardinal or Gold, $2,175 per semester. With Fast Pass you just don't get the extra $510 Dining $'s.

But unlimited meals will be worth WAY MORE than that, at least to me. With getting into the cafeteria as often as you want, instead of just 10 times per week, you shouldn't need that much extra food money, at least not until you get sick of the same cafeteria stuff all the time! :b

Do you really want to hear all this? This stuff gives me a headache. OK, this is what they told me......The Fast Pass option USED TO BE for a maximum of 20 meals per week, but this year they changed it to UNLIMITED.

If you go in the cafeteria, they swipe your card. If you are on the regular plans, it counts for a meal even if you don't eat! If you have FAST PASS, you can go in as much as you want, so it doesn't even matter if it is for a meal or a snack, or just a coffee.

If you have a Trojan Hospitality Guide to Meal Plans Fall 2005-Spring 2006 booklet, a small booklet they gave out at some of the information tables at Orientation, the info like "snacks, beverages and socializing" is on pages 2 and 3. Not sure if the booklets were in the stuff they sent

For the GOLD FAST PASS plan, go to the link I gave you before, put in Fluor, and read it again, it says "breakfast, lunch and dinner at EVK or Parkside". For CARDINAL it says "breakfast, lunch at EVK or Parkside, and dinner at EVK"

I am in Birnkrant, so I can't get GOLD PLANS, that is only for Fluor and Parkside. I am getting CARDINAL FAST PASS. I have to eat dinner at Everybody's Kitchen (EVK), oh well, Parkside is supposed to be better, but hey EVK is right next to my dorm, so that is good

I see it now. Well, personally I'm in Parkside Suites, so I have to have dinner in Parkside whether I like it or not. The same is not true for Fluor Tower.
