<p>Tuition keeps going up because students have widely accessible credit to tap into. And as we have seen, they will tap into it.</p>
<p>Son talked to the tutoring center today and they indicated that their budget was cut. They’re limiting student hours and they might even limit the number of tutors that they hire. Classes haven’t started yet but I suggested that he get his application in as soon as they become available.</p>
<p>For privates, we should differentiate between tuition list price and EFC. Schools meeting full need raise list prices knowing that only well-to-do families will pay the increase, effectively subsidizing those below. Some/many also cap loans.</p>
