The SENIOR Thread

I'm sort of anxious but i wanna go to school. My job makes me feel the preciousness and CLEAN SANITATION in school. My job is on the left if u can see it under my id. School might be stressful but at least it's clean which is really important to me right now.

I'm still technically a junior but I will be a senior in december.. (school year stuffs are different here)

My biggest worry is probably my essays. I am not creative with words :( I think I'd be drafting essays for every minute of the year.. on paper or in the head.. (that sounds weird) )
I'm so average.. maybe below average.. that my essays have to be STUNNING

LOL!!

Ok I'm bit confused.. all you seniors are the class of 2010? or 2011?

uh.. class of 2006 as far as high school goes

no i mean the graduation year of college

That's difficult to determine these days, what with people getting enough credit to graduate in three years, or majoring in two areas so it takes five, or just generally taking five years. I'm "Class of 2010," but if I double major in music and biochemistry it will take longer. And then my education will continue for another ten years or so if I pursue graduate studies...But let's just say 2010 for now

Yeah, I answered based on high school because of what tkm said lol

YAY! We have a thread! GO US!! YAY!!!

I'm stressing because I'm not sure if I want to apply Early Decision or not to American U - if I do ED I'll find out by Christmas (which will ruin my Christmas), but if I do regular I'll have to wait to feel the rejection in April. Yes, I'm pretty sure I'll be rejected before I even apply - but I feel like I should try since I'm in love with it.

Plus the stress of other college applications, worrying about how much financial aid I'll get, and essays. Then there's the whole thing I'm taking three APs which I've never taken an AP class, only honors english, plus I decided to take four years of math and am going into pre-calc which will surely kill me since math + me = death. Yes I am rambling. It tends to happen when I start talking about this.

Wow.

iamcrazy, your school sounds awesome. My school really doesn't do anything special for us seniors- but because we are so generous, we will do something "special" to our school (hint: traditional senior prank :) ).

Go Seniors!! :)
It's so exciting that we will be all applying to colleges soon, but also so frightning! I am so in love with my top choice school that I will freak out if rejected, but hopefully that won't happen.

I am also thinking about senior pranks, as I bet many other people are... No one has done a senior prank in recent years at my school, so I think this year will be different!

I haven't even started my college apps yet.

Football preseason sucks.

I have 5 AP classes, but I don't think those are going to be my problem. AP classes don't bother me because we have parties everyday after the tests. I am, however, worried about senior project. Do any of the rest of you have a senior project requirement (I know it is not mandatory in some states)? What topic are you going to immerse yourself in for it?

Well I'm excited about senior except I can't find my washu weekend confirmation card (argh!). must look for card so I can send it.

My school doesn't have a senior project. That's interesting! I'm taking 5 AP's too, and one of my regular's might be changed to Honors if the counselor's get off of their lazy rears. On top of that, college applications! shudders Yes, I must say that my senior year will be pretty stressful! (understatement of the year)

All the seniors from my classes last year assured me, "Junior year's the hardest. Next year will be a blast. There's like no homework and you can go to all the dances and games, and the teachers get off your back and you get all these senior privileges...." Liars. The whole lot of them. School starts tomorrow and I'm already bogged with the stuff I committed to last week at registration!

APs, flute recording, German/Science Olympiad/EDU/LINK/NHS Clubs, and COLLEGE!!!! I already wrote this all before, but it's striking me again. I'm going to go bake some cookies to calm my nerves.

senior year is my academic hardest, not easiest, so I feel your pain. :p

i dont know about you, but i would just like senior year to be over asap. i really cant wait for college. i guess i am looking forward to things like football games, prom, senior project etc.. but i just really want to be done with high school!

I'm looking forward to senior year. It's going to be crazy fun. Once I finnish my applications, I'm really going to make sure I don't miss anything worthwhile

Definitely agreed. I don't want to be covered in school applications all year long. I need to get out and really enjoy my last year of high school....whoa....That even looks weird on the screen. There was a time when I thought I would die before I made it to fifth grade. I really don't even know what colleges I'm going to apply to. It seems like everyone on CC has a "dream school"...I don't.

drops head in shame

I don't have a dream school. I have a reality school, IUB, that I'm darn sure I'll get in but not so sure I'll get the aid for. I'm applying Yale SCEA because they have larger endowment, but it isn't my "dream school." Celebrate your life, Phellax, don't worry about the cheesiness. Who doesn't like cheese? (besides vegans and fatphobic people :) )
