I think Harry will live. Though that may just be wishful thinking.

As for the title... well, it's starting to grow on me. Deathly Hallows does have a certain ring to it.

Agreed .

Deathly Hallows sounds like some kind of junky paperback mystery.

yo mama sounds like some kind of junky paperback mystery.

R.A.B is probably Regulus Black too. I thought I read it somewhere before that Jk had herself hinted it.

As far as Harry's death is concerned, doesn't the prophecy tell something like this: One cannot live while the other survives. So, if Voldemort dies( which should happen ,otherwise the story would never end) , Harry has to die too.

And JK declared that two of the important characters die at the end of the book. So, Deathly Hallows does make sense

I think ol Ronnie is a goner...he is the one who is closest to Harry (best buds) and Hermione (lovers) and half the cast is part of the Weasley familia.

And the prophecy means that only ONE has to die...but it is very possible that both Harry and Voldemort will die.

Mannnnnnnnnn will I be crying buckets. It'll probably come out while I'm in college so I'll have to hole myself up in some closet so no one spoils the ending.

I think JKR refuted this (to a point, of course). I don't remember where, but I heard something along the lines of this was thinking too much.

But anyways, I think Harry will die anyways.

hehe. i think the title coulda been a bit better. but i am trusting jkr

i still don't have any ideas how lily's eyes are soo important to this book. i mean harry has his mom's eyes. but what does that have to do with you know ... the book... any ideas?

Hallows means:

("holy" or "holy night") the Oct. 31 Greater Sabbat, also called November Eve, the Celtic Samhain ("sow-en"); the beginning of the Celtic winter, and of the Celtic year; the beginning of the Witches' Year, when the Veil Between the Worlds grows thin and the spirits of the dead may return to Earth; the Descent of the Goddess to the Underworld; the final Harvest festival

Anyone see any other similarities to the other books?

HP and the SS: item
HP and the CoS: place
HP and the PoA: person
HP and the Gof: item
HP and the OotP: place
HP and the DH: if it follows the pattern, it seems like it could be a person... but then again, i'm not really sure and haven't been thinking about it much.

I wouldn't say that the Order of the Phoenix was a place... it doesn't really belong in any of those categories. Hallows are probably people anyway - a hallow can also mean a saint or holy person. The titles in other languages (I think they're unofficial as of now though. There was something about it at mugglenet.com) translate to saints.

Order of the Phoenix is a group.

I heard that also, but it isn't a person. When I first heard it, I thought of some sort of graveyard or the like, sort of like the one in book 4 with Voldy's dad. But I'm probably wrong.
