Due to some demand, I'm going to start a very clean, simple thread for the decisions of boarding schools. A lot of previous attempts on this topic involved color coding and especially posting stats along with the decisions. I really do like this idea, and I know it would be quite useful, but to have a thread where only some post their stats would become messy and extremely long. If you do wish to follow the more advanced concept (which I encourage), please also post in the thread "*Official List of 2013 Acceptances" by NikDangles or, for even more detail, "2013 Clean Official Boarding Decisions and Applicant Stats/ECs" by Silverstag. So, with that said, please follow this format:

The (*) would denote that you can find that applicant's stats in the Chances Forum or in one of the more in depth threads. This board gets horribly long even without the details on the applicant, and it gets messy because only some people actually want to post their stats. This way you could just search up that applicant's name in the Chances Forum (or Silverstag's thread), and if someone wanted to post their stats and had not already done so, that could be the place to do it.

For the sake of neatness, please wait until ALL of your decisions have arrived, instead of saying "waiting on" or any other extraneous comments. Great luck with your decisions everyone!

Well, okay, obviously you can post whatever as long as it’s not part of the list. Feel free to vent here and I’ll see what I can do to give tips to ease your pain until M10 (or M9, it’s a weird year.)

Can we use this one? It’s got a correct date, and it basically what appears to have always been used (but it does have the *). I’m really hoping there isn’t some impending war over which thread we will choose…

And I like that this year it’s “decisions” as opposed to “acceptances”. I’m not 100% confident in any of my schools. Oh, man, it’s real now guys! It’s finally happening!

We plan to post on this board. The rest of the statistics are somewhat irrelvant to us at this point. More curious to who got in where… see you on Monday!

@BHADES: I know! It’s tomorrow! I already filled out all I could for Silverstag’s thread…can’t believe it. It’s happened so incredibly fast and so agonizingly slow at the same time! How is that possible?

I know this sounds evil, but as an applicant of last year, seeing all of you in the pain of decision’s eve is SO fun. If you have time next year I do recommend coming back to reminisce.

@ThisOneKid that is basically the entire reason I still post in this forum. After two years of not being able to finish applications to the US (time and parental constraints) I went through the entirely less stressful UK system a few months ago :)

My question: is there a hierarchy among BS schools at this calibre (I remembered someone mentioning to me that the accronym was GROAMATE OR something like that), where some of the schools are substantially more difficult to gain acceptance than others? Or, are the chance, almost “random” at times depending on so many different factors?
