hey singapore guys....
How well respected is SMU ? Is it considered prestigious ?
Whats the genaral feedback about SMU?

Thanks

hey i'm singaporean too!
going to the university of michigan this fall.. anyone else going to become a wolverine?

hey richards: hmm...there is quite a lot of hype abt SMU here too as it is a relatively new uni.... soem of my frenx enjoy it there al lot (wether thay are slackin or enjoy the courses , i am not too sure)...will ask and find...however, i have also heard -ve feedback, as in not meeting expectations as it is portrayed as a different uni where studnets are more open minded and daring ans speak up as the general steryotypical impression of s'porean students is tt they dun speak up much in class/lect etc.... but still many ppl here are v.serious abt it... how abt chekcin out the forums there??

thanks neha1 .......which forums are you talking about?
Also you seem to be indian.........how is it for indians in singapore?

hi...err, not sure what forums actually, i have nvr visited the smu site b4!! haha...but guessing the uni site must have a forum...
u are form punjab, i assume north indian? i am too....well, the north indian pop has grown here quite a lot past few yrs, quite a number of studnets too in local schools now and universities... the country is fine..there is racial harmony and all...haha... singapore will be fine, there always hindi movies to watch if u feel homesick...lol
oh ya, i noe smu requires interview for admissions..and so dome some courses in ntu ad nus...considerin nus/ntu ??

Well I'm not Singaporean, but I used to live there. I wish I still did!

hey.. richards.
I think SMU is quite respectable in S'pore. I have been there quite alot of times ( some econs special-paper lectures, conferences, and even did my SAT there...haha) and I have a quite good impression of it... GOt some very good economics lecturers....and the new university site is very impressive.

Haha...I'll be going there if i screw up my US apps...haha.

I like the weather...
