4 more hrs..............

Hey people, just thought I'd pop by to say a big "HI!!" to everyone out there with a Singapore link. Although I'm not a S'porean myself, been living there for a longer time (6 years) than any other place; quite attached to the lil island, frankly! Was from HCJC btw.

Lastly, a great big good luck to everyone and here's to hoping that we all get into the college of our choice. ;)

It's sort of ironic that I'm posting this within the last two weeks that I'm going to be in Singapore (UWCSEA class of 04), but hi to everyone who lives/d in sunny old Singapore. If you've gotten into your dream college, then kudos to you, if you're still waiting then I wish you the best of luck and hope that you get the best possible news.

someone PLEASE tell me mit fax no.?? i need to fax in my Alevel results NOW!!!! :(
i cant find on website at all...

nvr found it... anyway, mit girl, u have been to mit b4?? wow..cool man..u were juz visitn cambridge on ur own or some school thing?

yeah i went there in j1 and missed 6 weeks of sch! It was the RSI (Research Science Institute) Program - a 6-week research attachment sponsored by the MOE.

wow!! tts great.... man i nvr eevn now such stuff exists in schools.... some of my sch ppl go for such stuff too but we only find out abt the things After they have selected/gone....... :(
see wat i mean. my chances are really low competin with my sch geniuses/hcjc and of course rj's .............

well, here's to leaving the island.

Do we need to fax our A level results? Haven't heard from any of the colleges I applied about faxing over the results? I did a little worse than my predicted grades...AAB merit unclassified A2. How?

i faxed, my sch recommends to do so...and they do now u had exams (duh) so i guess they will expect results.......thinkin of any way out...i faxed tho most ppl told me it wud hardly be considered since decisions wud have been made but still not gd not to send.....mby the way i got unclassified too, atleast u have a merit....:p

okay i need ideas
wat will u all talk abt very briefly on ur greatest achievment and worst failure?
and your vision of asia in the next decade?

thnx....

neha1, the questions u asked are so familiar... are they from one of the scholarship guidebooks that were given out during the a-level release? :p
for me:
greatest achievement: debate competition (boring), finishing my first sprite-vodka (a little bit more interesting)
worst failure: my team's catapult during one of the RJ's intra-school catapult competitions
vision of asia: free trade, common language?
that's only my crappy personal opinion. i don't think they'll be of any use... :)

they are those ntu/smu scholarship i think..........lol....since i got U for chemS
no hope for overseas scholarship...............:(

how about us finaid? did u apply for one? cuz i don't think us universities really care about s-paper... (if i'm not mistaken, only sporeans offer s-papers)

ya i understand US does not really 'care' abt Spaper........but tell em honestly, how will it look on my result slip with As and the a huge UNGRADED in CAPITAL somemore!!!!
i wud reject a person who FAILs chem and wanna do engi... spe chem engi..:(

hey my classmate got into stanford with an ungraded for one spaper
and a D for the other. so whatever.

well he had DISTINCTION for another.....i only took one S..... but does not matter now... :(

I don't think it really matters. US schools go for a more well rounded applicant, one bad grade will not kill your chances at all.
