Some people say that some colleges are more difficult than others... which makes me worried since I just kinda ignorantly ranked them on my application. My order (from 1st to last) was Muir, Marshall, ERC, Earl Warren, Revelle, and Sixth.

Muir is the easiest in terms of GE's - it gives you more freedom. Revelle is known to be the hardest but my all time fave is ERC (Eleanor) - the dorms (if you get the new country dorms) are stellar and the atmosphere is awesome. Their GE reqs. kinda suk though.

Muir is the best. They've recently remodeled the interior of their dorms. Their GEs are lovely and almost non-existent if you pass enough AP exams. I regret not picking this college.

Warren's pretty good too. Every single person I've met from Warren is happy. I also regret not picking this one.

6th and Marshall are okay. People from these colleges are pretty content with their lives too. I also regret not picking these

Revelle and ERC suck.

And let me tell you something about ERC dorms...the walls are THIN. I'm living in one right now and let me tell you...I can hear my neighobrs opening and closing their drawers, I can hear their phones vibrating, I know when the person above me is walking around in her room, and worst of all, I know that she has a boyfriend who comes over often...MMW also sucks 99%..the 1% that was enjoyable was MMW 1...which is the MMW class you will love with all your heart when it's over and you're stucking trying to write something about something for 6 to ten pages...although if you want a single room, you'll very likely get one if you pick ERC.

So OP, the fact that Muir is your first choice is very good for you...you won't regret it.

Each college has different policies on AP and IB exams; be sure to research the respective college you get into and to appeal any un-rewarded course units you qualify for.
