The so-called "wellness" floors in dorms

When applying for housing, you can check a box that says you would prefer to live on a "wellness" floor in your dorm. From the UT site: "Wellness/Substance Free living is aimed at those residents who wish to live life in a healthy, well-balanced way. The Wellness Floor is committed to helping students stay alcohol, smoke and drug free."

Does anyone here know what exactly this is or had experience with it? Do they actually enforce it? I signed up for it, because it can't really hurt, can it? (not a smoker/drinker/druggie, btw)

Where does it say that? I have never seen it on the application.

If you go to https://utdirect.utexas.edu/hfis/student/studentView.WBX, click update housing choices, then click special programs, you'll see it.

Ohh, I see. It makes it seem like you get pretty involved though. I don't like too much commitment. =P
