Hi, I am a junior and live in New York. I am a female and was wondering if University of Denver was worth the visit. I wanted to know the vibe, the students, how they dress. Is it like a fashion show or laid back? Some say the students are drunk all the time... that kind of affects me because I am not really a partyer and would rather stay away.
Thanks, and reply soon.

We’re also from the east coast and flew out to Denver last week and got an official DU campus tour, and information session, on Friday. Loved the campus. Once you’re inside of it it’s really nice. We were there during the day, until about 5 p.m., and didn’t see any drunk students. Very friendly. Our son has been accepted for Sept. 2013.

You really need to visit the college to get a real feel for it.

Im wondering if you are not confusing DU with University of Colorado, Boulder. A lot of people do. Boulder is much more of a party school (and a lot of DU students go there to party). It’s a laid back place, definitely not somewhere where you have to be dressed up etc - my D would not be there if it were a fashion show.
