Hey everyone! I’ll try to make this short and sweet. I have to decide on a college by friday. I am looking to go into science, particularly biochemistry and related “small bio” stuff. Since I will need to go to grad school, it seems like I’m down to SUNY Geneseo and SUNY Binghamton as good, cheap undergraduate options. I was pretty set on Geneseo, but I visited Binghamton yesterday and it seems as though it’d be foolish to attend a liberal arts college over a research university when I’m interested in science. I prefer Geneseo’s more rural atmosphere, but I like Binghamton’s larger size and it seems like they’d have more resources. I hear they’re both good in science…thoughts?? any opinions/reasons greatly appreciated. thanks!
Not necessarily. At a LAC, you are more likely to get a professor’s undivided attention for research.
I’m not telling you where to attend, I’m just telling you that this decision won’t make you a fool no matter how you decide.
If you go to Binghamton you might want to choose a different major then biology.
@lostaccount how come? And does biochem count or too similar?
