I live in Australia, so I naturally picked up the accent from here. I attend a regular public school, a very good one at that though.

If you attend high school in Australia, you are exempted from taking the TOEFL.</p>
<p>"...However, International applicants who have recently and successfully completed at least four years of rigorous academic studies in the United States (excluding Puerto Rico), Canada (excluding Quebec), New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or Australia (and have SAT Critical Reading scores in the mid-600 range) have the option of petitioning for an exemption of the TOEFL, MELAB, or IELTS exams if they exceeded the expectations required by the University. Any exceptions would have to be requested in writing with or following the submission of your actual application. A decision could only be made after the entire file has been reviewed. Such requests must be accompanied with full details explaining your reasons for the request."</p>
<p>"Exceptions to the English proficiency tests include only lifetime residents of Australia, Canada (other than Quebec), New Zealand, United Kingdom, or the United States (other than Puerto Rico). Students who have recently and successfully completed at least four years of rigorous academic studies in one of the countries listed might also be exempted if SAT critical reading scores are in the mid-600 range. An admissions counselor will make that decision based on the level of academic achievement."
