i wander who signs the card

Did anybody's letter say anything interesting in the handwritten note? Mine was very generic, Caltech's wrote a personal note. Just wondering if they could not come up with anything to say about me or if they just don't do that type of note.

On the xmas card? Mine was just signed by like 8 ppl from the admissions staff. I loved it. im hanging it on my wall! still want my tube though...

mine was pretty generic.

I'd hate you all!!! If I weren't happy for you

-deferred here :(

yeah, generic message here, too.

got the tube and card today in norcal.

For what it's worth, when my daughter was admitted early action to MIT's class of 2011, no one wrote a message at all on any of the documents in her tube. The adcoms are extremely busy during admissions. Her tube is still a prized possession, and the class of 2011's poster is still on her wall. She's now a sophomore at MIT and designed the posters for the classes of 2012 and 2013 (hope you like yours!) I wouldn't take it too personally, if you find only a "generic message" on your admission letter. MIT will keep in touch with all of the students it admitted early action, and it will do its best to encourage you to come. After all the stress of applying, now you can sit back and enjoy the prospect of MIT courting you to enroll. If you really want to understand how serious MIT -- and its students -- are about wanting you to join their community, visit the campus during CPW.

I got my tube today.

To CalAlum: Your daughter did a fantastic job creating the poster; I love it! Please relay my thanks to her.

Oh good, that means I should get mine in about an hour.

YAY I HAVE MY TUBE!!!

It is awesome and I will never let it out of my hands.

I got mine (upstate NY), and it's making me feel terrible; one person wrote a personal message about my essay, and two others signed "Congratulations" on it. I'm ED-bound to another school, so I can't go. D*** you MIT for making me feel as though I'm not just another number in the system.

Got tubed the other day. I'm marrying my tube.

i think the class of 2011 poster was better

^^ yeah, I liked the blue background.

What are you guys going to do with your tubes? Build a shrine for it? I just kinda of have it lying around on my floor

I'm just sort of carrying it around with me everywhere.

^^ hahaha lol. I should do that too!

Did anybody get handwritten letters? I got a lil one that said "Congrats ____" :)

I got one that said my app was fun to read and they liked my essay. It was a nice touch! :)

I got the same message as MillerL1te, "Congrats! -_____" It was definitely a nice touch.
And with regards to where my tube is: I put mine under the Christmas tree last night. :D
