Players camps should not wear same kit as player. They look ridiculous.

Oh, well, Fed.

Sad to see Fed go. Gulbis sure has a unique forehand.

I am so excited for Garbine Muguruza! Iâm looking forward to her match against Sharapova.

She and SuĂĄrez are the first two Spanish women to do anything in a long time. There have been years of complaints that the women in tennis get ignored over there. I hope they both continue on.

Shame about Roger but nice to see Ernest finally getting his **** together. Now if he can only stop saying stupid ****.

Iâd love to see Muguruza take out Maria.

emily seems to dislike my two favourite players (Djokovic and Sharapova)! hehe! But I must say that I also like Muguruza. As long as Federer is out, I am happy!

What a beat down in the round of 16 by Rafa - now widely regarded as the GOAT, sorry haters!

ânow widely regarded as the GOAT, sorry haters!â

17-13.

Interesting article about the probability of Rafa winning more slams than Roger (by 538 - the site which predicts election outcomes.)

<a href=âHappy Birthday Nadal! Youâre Probably Too Old to Pass Federer | FiveThirtyEightâ>http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/happy-birthday-nadal-youre-probably-too-old-to-pass-federer/

Snowdog, I come from a tennis background. I am sorry to say that none of the people I know considers Nadal the GOAT (and my mom, who is Colombian, is a die hard supporter of all things Latin). I personally prefer Nadal to Federer (not saying much since I really dislike Federer), but it is hard to argue the Swissâ accomplishments. Yes, Nadalâs style is perfect to counter Federerâs, but other than that, I think Roger has the clear edge in most non-clay categories. Now if Nadal wins 2 more majors, a case could be made for Rafa. Personally, I am hoping that Djokovic wins 9 more majors so that he can enter the discussion. I love his style of play. But for now, I am sad to say it is all Federer.

Emily - yes Iâm well aware of Nate Silverâs genius. And I agree with you that the decision will be made ultimately on wins rather than personal feelings of us, our friends or family.
Alexandre - most of us who are fans consider ourselves to come from a tennis background, ie., played competitively at some level in high school and college.

That said Iâd argue that Agassi also comes from a âtennis backgroundâ <a href=âAndre Agassi said Rafael Nadal is the greatest tennis player ever, not Roger Federer - ESPNâ>http://espn.go.com/tennis/story/_/id/10901358/andre-agassi-said-rafael-nadal-greatest-tennis-player-ever-not-roger-federer

Any day that sees Nole and Sharapova win games is a good day by me! ;)

Agassi is entitled to his opinion Snowdog. And there are many who share his (and your) sentiment. There is certainly an argument to be made in favor of Nadal (or Laver, or Borg or Sampras). However, to say that Nadal is âwidely regarded as the GOATâ is extreme. Some agree with that statement, but not the majority.

Well the mens matches today were pretty much a snooze. Nice to see Ernest back up his big win. Hope the semiâs are a bit more exciting.

Bleugh.

I was really rooting for Eugenie Bouchard! It was 5-5 in the second when I had to leave for work. I was so disappointed to see the result. I have always liked Petkovic, so I am going to root for her.

Guilty as charged Alexandre â âwidely regardedâ is hyperbole.

Looking forward to a great match on Sunday!

I hope itâs a good one, like the 2012 Australian Open final.

Can anyone hold serve?

This was a great match. I obviously wanted Sharapova to win, but Halep was just as worthy, and deep down, I would have been happy for her if she won. Hopefully, the men will give us an equally entertaining match tomorrow.
