Draw is out.

http://www.usopen.org/en_US/scores/draws/ms/r1s4.html</a></p>

Off later today for a week at the Open. I’ve got reserved seats on Louie this year instead of Ashe. Fingers crossed weather report is accurate and it’s going to be a hot and sunny week.

Hopp Roger!

I will be there Wednesday and Thursday. So excited!

D is headed to NYC next week for a few days there before she is in a wedding on Sept. 6. She has evening session tickets for next Wednesday. I am jealous of all of you!!!

Watching the opening ceremony now. Please make it go away! I really wish people would just sing the National Anthem the way it’s written… X(

tx5athome, don’t forget your sunscreen. It’s going to be a scorcher this week.

Anyone else see the Bellis match this afternoon (the 15 year old)? Loved seeing her excitement.

That was quite a match! She was very poised in the interviews, too. I think we’ll be seeing a lot more of her.

I know Cici Bellis slightly…She’s a great, gutsy, hard working fun kid. I was at the match today and it was awesome to see her energy and fight when she was down in the third set. I hope she can keep the magic going for another round or two.

Just in from the tennis. Didn’t see that match but had the Am Ex radio on so heard what was going on. Most of the matches today were meh, imo and we spent good parts of the day moving about in search of seats in the shade. Saw bits and bobs of Querry & Stosar, all of Ferrer’s match, and ended up the day at Tomic/Dustin Brown match.

tx5athome, tomorrow is going to even hotter than today. My suggestion to get out of the sun for a bit and not have to fight the crowds at the food court, is to eat lunch at the Patio Cafe outside of Ashe. Well worth the extra $$.

Just riding the 7 back from the Open. Had a great day. It was toasty and we were on court 17 when Steven Johnson cramped up. It was heartbreaking. We took your advice and had lunch at the Patio Cafe. It was great. Ended the night watching the Brysn Brothers which is always fun.

tx5, hope you had a great time at the tennis. I got home late last night and am completely knackered. Started watching TommyR and Krygios but fell asleep somewhere in 3rd set. See that Tommy got the win. Good on him figuring out how to play the young Aussie.

Saw so many matches that the week seems like one big blur. Spent my time going back and forth between LA, GS, 17 and 5 (my new fave court.) The only thing that got me aggravated was the security witch who made me dump my Altoids loose into my bag and confiscated teensy weensy metal tin, as apparently it might be fashioned intosome kind of weapon! Also, they’ve decided they need to be as assholey as Wimby and weren’t allowing seats to be saved on Court 5 - even to just go to the ladies.

As for the actual tennis - men all seem to be moving right along but the women, my gosh, are all a hot mess.

Was nice of summer to finally show up, though.

Sounds like we were in the same areas emilybee! Sat in the shade in LA, then spent time on 4,5,6,11 & 17, then back to LA. We had 2 days at the Open (spent about 22 hours there over 2 days) then saw a play and walked the Highline. I am home now and am catching up on my sleep. I caught a little of the 15 year old. I don’t know if with the women if they are all about the same level, or just inconsistent.

I’m sure we were tx5! My seats on LA were in the shade but only until about 1:00 (under the broadcast booth) then it was chasing the shade around the stadium after that. I think it was Wednesday (or maybe Thursday?) when it was the most brutal so we got into GS early to get seats in the section under the shade (the side were Racquets use to be) and didn’t leave until late in the afternoon.

The women are all inconsistent, except Serena (for the most part.) None of them can hold serve with any regularity and the matches are breakfests.

Just watching the Shrieker and Woz match. Cannot believe she just took 12 mins to change after second set. Really need to put an end to that kind of nonsense.

Love walking the Highline!

Glad you had a nice time in NYC and got to do some other things beside just the tennis.

Boo for rain delay but hopefully it will give time for Roger to get his act together.

Very happy for Caro and happy I don’t have to listen Maria shrieks for another week.

Looks like Roger will have the whole evening to get his act together:

From USOpen.org
"Due to the weather conditions, all matches are temporaily suspended.

The current forecast calls for rain into the early evening. As such, the day session has concluded, but the US Open invites patrons to stay on the grounds to enjoy the tennis on the outer courts if play resumes. Arthur Ashe Stadium is scheduled to open at 6:30 p.m. for night session ticket holders."

I bet they don’t want to have to refund the night ticket holders if it starts raining again.and they can’t get any of the evening matches in. There is a slight window without rain so even if an evening match can’t be finished they don’t have to give refund if they play for at least an hour (or something like that.)

Hmmm…Rogers match was put back on. He’s back on serve but down 3 set point at 4-5. And just lost the first set. shaking head

He woke up. This is getting embarrassing now for insert random Spanish player .

Feli losing badly, too.

Not a good day for Espana.

The deal between my local CBS station and DirectTv expired at midnight last night. No Murray-Tsonga match for me today - grrrrrrr…

@‌2VU0609 - you can watch any match on any TV court online at http://www.usopen.org/index.html</a>

Just click on the “watch live” and select which court you want to watch.

Also, for anyone who doesn’t know - they are also broadcasting matches on CBS Sports Network.
