The Theatre School @ Depaul

Has anyone heard from Depaul yet? We are patiently waiting : )

Nope. Glad you can be patient. ;-0 We haven’t heard from any auditioned schools yet - have you?

Hello! I am awaiting a response as well. Heard that it will be sent out March 15th and I go to college in Nebraska so I’ll probably get it first if that’s true.

Well OneToughMommy, we got the rejection letter from UNCSA : ( last week and he was accepted to Western Carolina. But, nothing from Depaul yet, this is his first choice.

Good luck nmicale09, hope you hear good news!

Good luck to you too proud theatre mom! This is my first choice as well!!

Last year, DePaul was the last of my D’s auditioned schools to respond. I don’t have the exact date but a letter arrived very late in March. D was rejected for Acting, but her friend was accepted for Theatre Arts and both received letters the same week.

I kept a good record of my kids’ acceptances/rejections - Daughter heard from DePaul on March 17th 3 years ago - son heard March 19th last year - we are West Coast!
Good Luck!

I hope it was good news actingmom! We’re on the east coast. This waiting is killing me…I think it’s affecting me more though.

my D hasn’t heard yet … she auditioned the first round in November…

Nothing. They said they’d be sending out decisions mid-March so it’s any day now.

I haven’t heard yet but I called and then send everything out soon and that I should hear from them later this week. good luck everyone!

I sure hope it’s soon!!!

We are patiently (NOT) waiting for our DePaul letter. My son was accepted to Carthage College’s technical theatre program and offered one of only 22 scholarships awarded to theatre students.

Congrats geezmom on the acceptance and scholarship! I know what you mean about NOT patiently waiting. I think it’s killing me more than my son!

So i called today because im obsessive, and i asked them if they have sent the letters out and they said that all the letters will be out by the end of the week.

one thing i wanted to ask, if you applied to the theatre school at DePaul and auditioned, was there something on your “hold/ to-do list” on campus connect asking for W2 forms, and other tax things? i dont know why they would ask for that if someone wasnt accepted to either the Theatre School, or the University…im just wondering if anyone else recieved the same holds or to-dos on their campus connect.

A word of caution: Campus Connect is not a good indicator of anything. They operate independently of the Theatre School and do not accurately reflect whether the Theatre School has received and is considering your application. If you are missing any materials from DePaul, do not assume these are in the pipeline. They may have been sidelined somewhere. Call the Theatre School office if you have any questions about anything.

I called a couple weeks ago and asked if all materials were in and they said that they were. Thanks for the warning though!

Hey guys, I’m still waiting too. Does anyone know if they mail priority to places over seas? Or do they send an email or something? Some of the places I applied did, but some didn’t. I’m an American citizen, but I live in Singapore. If they don’t then I won’t hear until late April!

I’m not sure how they mail the letters rraatt, but I hope all hears soon!

My son recieved his letter today. He is on the waitlist.
Hoping that eveyone gets good news soon.
