Just curious if anyone familiar with previous years knows: do the thick acceptance packets (not the emails, postcards to events for accepted students, etc.) wait UNTIL April 1 to arrive? Or do they sometimes arrive BY April 1? Son applied to Steinhardt (received the travel plans email!) and we are in CA. And are merit scholarships typically included in the acceptance packet?

Thanks in advance.

i would really like to know this too!!

Your full financial aid offer SHOULD be included with that acceptance packet (the way I understand it). It will include all aid of any sort. One exception I’ve heard is that one person said that, last year, late April, a Mom whose son had already received his acceptance, got a BIG scholarship. She felt it MIGHT be that someone else declined theirs. ??

As for “ON or BY Apri l”…NYU’s website says something to the effect of “arriving on or about April 1”. (I THINK the e-mail said that too…I’m SUPER lazy today so I’m not going looking). So…bottom line, I think they MIGHT have that acceptance a BIT earlier?

If you’re like me…it makes a BIG difference in travel plans for 4/9-11! The money, CAS’s weekend schedule, and any other acceptances, affect our travel plans so it’s high cost airline tickets - for sure. Unless there is LITTLE aid included…then…no worries…no travel.

LUCK!!!

thank you R####### and i’m in the same boat with travel plans. lets hope the letters get here slightly before april 1st!
