The Thin Envelope

Are the rejection letters sent in thin envelopes and the acceptances in big ones? Or are they all sent in small envelopes?

The beauty of signing up for email notification is that you never have to stress over this.

too true kit, still nerve-wracking to click on your inbox though...and I have to go through twice (being of the lucky deferreds...:) )

My problem is that I won't be recieving email notification, so I won't know until I see that envelope.

Anyone else know? EA ppl?

hey, what will be the title of the email???
is it like .......
if accepted : CONGRAT, YOU HAVE ........
or if rejected: THANKS FOR APPLYING TO HARVARD, HOWEVER........

I think the title would be Harvard Admission Decision and it would say congrats or thank you for applying in the first sentence of the email. That's my opinion though. Maybe someone who got in EA knows.

nahhh, let's see, i'll dig it out of my files...(not exactly one i look at often, that's for sure!)

Harvard College Admissions Early Action Decision Tue 12/14 3k

~how it showed up for Yahoo

Soooo, I held my breath and clicked....

Dear Ms. ,
The Committee on Admissions has just completed its Early Action
meetings
during which your application for admission was reviewed. After very
careful consideration, we were unable to take a definite action on your
candidacy at this time and therefore have deferred our decision until
the
regular spring meetings.

thanks lol....

no prob ;) ... here's hoping for a decidedly different e-mail for all!!!

yup! hopefully we will see the letter starts with a big C !!!!!!

Yeah !!!!!

:) .

EA people, were you able to tell if it was a rejection, deferral, or acceptance by the size of the email?

I imagine rejections must have been quite small (3k?), while acceptance ones maybe had more information so maybe upwards of 5k?

Just some spectulation so I know for sure when I'm looking at my inbox, even before I click on the email....?

well, if you noticed my post
~deferred = 3k

hah, sorry...

I'm not wearing my glasses :o

No prob, :)
I'll have to ask my friend what his e-mail said/size though (only person I know who was accepted early!), but I don't know any rejects...

Last year the RD acceptances were big packets.

yeah my deferred e-mail letter says 2K. lol i think when i get the e-mail i'm just gonna look at the number first. 3K and under = rejection ; ~5K > = acceptance.

i'll be going by those guidlines at least <_<

i have aol...so it doesnt show any of that right of way:</p>

asked my friend: he said that his e-mail was nothing special (except for the inside of course :) )...and even the acceptance letter was small!!!
