Junior, first time taking after lots of cramming (practice tests, carried the book around with me for a week leading up to it) and lots of cramming for the PSAT back in October.

SO SURPRISED. I thought I would MAYBE hit 2200 on this one. The CR score blew my expectations out of the water, I’m embarrassed for the math score (I’m a math geek, I really thought that would be my 800) and the essay score annoys me because my AP lang teacher loves my synthesis essays. But that’s just me nitpicking because it hasn’t fully sunk in yet. :)

Congrats to everyone on this board and good luck to anyone is deciding to retake it!

I would! This is my first time taking it, so I wasn’t planning on making a big deal out of it…but it would be pretty awesome if they messed up! Good luck!

anyone got 4 in essay? i used to get 12 or 10. and now i got 4. wow
what’s wrong with collegeboard?
i am going to call the collegeboard and going to talk to everyone. i am going to make them read my essay aloud and realize how my essay worths much more than just 4

My sat scores still haven’t been released. I wrote as a standby tester and though the money has been deducted and i got a conformational mail i still did not get my scores…
Does anyone know what i should do?

Yeah 2160 for first time taker. With a 770 on writing. Predicted 800 on PSAT for CR so it looks like it’ll be a piece of cake to boost this baby into the 2300’s. Thanks guys love this site. And anyone who gets depressed looking at all these amazing scores just remember that everyone on here is somewhere in the top 1% so don’t go and beat yourself up over it.

Personally I’m very pleased with myself and the precentiles I fell into. I don’t think it’d bad at all for what was at most six weeks preparation and taking it for the first time. (I’m British, so I was never taught it.)
