who was Big 10 Champs? Oh and who beat OSU?

You lost. 7 times in a row. I don't need to say anymore.

Nazhockey, you did not ask who won the Big 10 in 2005...you merely claimed PSU was going to beat Michigan in 2006. Here were your exact words:

"Oh and I can't wait till October 14th when we host you in Happy Valley. That is going to be one awesome night especially after we beat you!"

Now don't get me wrong. I respect PSU a great deal and I love JoePa. In my opinion, he is the ideal of a coach all other coaches should strive for. I know Coach Carr tries to model himself after JoePa, but as we know, the copy is never as good as the original! JoePa is one of a kind.

However, Penn State is hardly in a position to taunt Michigan these days. I mean, Michigan has won 7 straight against PSU ince 1997. Most of those games weren't even close. Do the following scores ring a bell?

34-8
27-0
33-11
20-0

Those are the final scores of 4 of those 7 Michigan victories over PSU in the last 7 meetings.

Furthermore, if you want to discuss Big 10 titles, since PSU has joined the Big 10 in 1993, they have won just 2 Big 10 football titles. Michigan has won 5 in that same period.

I'm glad all of you care about sports so much. This is part of the reason that I don't like Michigan. Flaunting athletic abilities is no way to attract intellectual and creative minds.

Astrojoe, lighten up man. Are you telling me that Michigan, Duke, Stanford, Wisconsin, UCLA, UNC, UT-Austin, Notre Dame etc... do not foster intellectual atmospheres and attract creative minds simply because they have students who enjoy the athletic prowess of their schools? Besides, you list MSU and Iowa on your list. Those two schools also have fanatical sports fans you know?!

You should have applied to schools like Chicago.

An update to my earlier post:

1) Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, UCLA
2) Cal, UCSD, UCD, UCSC, Chicago
3) In no particular order: Cal, Chicago, Michigan, UCLA

cal = caltech?

No, Caltech = Caltech...Cal = UC-Berkeley.

nazhockey26, you're awesome. We all know that Penn State has the best football program in the country. They will beat UM next year. Sure, PSU hasn't matched up well against UM in the past 7 tries, but we've had OSU's number, which UM certainly has not. And while PSU is on the upswing, UM is going down.

Maguo, I am not sure how you figure that Michigan is on its way down. They just recruited two top 10 classes. Michigan did lose 6 of its last 13 games, but all of those losses were by 7 or fewer points and Michigan has two of the top specialty offesnsive players in the nation with 2 years of elligibility left. I'd say Michigan is in good shape.

I think that UM is getting a little too overrated. With losses like Gabe Watson, Avant, and Breaston, UM has got some major shoes to fill. This year, we saw how much UM suffered with just one significant injury: Mike Hart. Sure, they've got a great recruiting class, but I think that UM's performance since 1997 has been going down.

Breaston has another year of eligibility smart one.

Mario Manningham is still there. Breaston is still there. They have Antonio Bass. No holes there.

And Gabe Watson? That man lost his starting job because of his laziness.

Anyone else deciding between UMich and UW?
