Uhggg. Fairbanks, you have to be a hearty soul to live there.

College Station and not Austin?!? You lost me.

And where is Bloomington Indiana in this list?

Who comes up with these bogus lists? No Michigan then you know it’s made up. Bloomington, Illinois has also been many lists like this.

There are some colleges which are not on the list so I am not that sure as to whether is credible enough or not.

Here’s a more accurate one in my mind. But just not in this order.lol…

^Denton and College Station are on that list, but not Austin. Bizarre.

Looks like lots of weight was given to cost of living which probably knocks lots of great college towns off the list.

Weird list. Greenville, NC? I don’t think so. I have heard Ames is very cool.

How about this asset?

Local dream job: Any job at Reiman Gardens, a peaceful 17-acre spot with gorgeous indoor and outdoor gardens, a butterfly wing and a conservancy. (It’s also the home of Elwood, the world’s largest concrete gnome!)

Yeah, right. And pay rent, college loans, and move up? Lol.

How can Chapel Hill not be on a best college town list?

Boo hoo. I haven’t been to 80% of them but my favorite town did it make the list so it must be wrong. Meh…

If you run the numbers per the defined methodology and find a town that should be included, contact the authors to have it corrected.

With no disrespect to any nor a repeat of any on the MarketWatch list here are another 10, I would consider in no particular order:
Santa Barbara, CA
Charleston, SC
Athens, GA
Bloomington, IN
Blacksburg, VA
Nashville, TN
Hanover, NH
Annapolis, MD
Claremont, CA
Tucson, AZ

This list is now on the “Top 10 Inane Lists”.

Lol, maybe that should be a thread. ^

No Ann Arbor or Chapel Hill? Very strange list…
